Glam Time!

Lights! Camera! GLAM TIME!!!

It's practically every girl's dream to get her hair and make-up did, wear the cutest outfits, and then have the fan blowing at her face while she dances and poses in front of the camera. Well, for 12 girls, this dream came true!

Girl Radical just had a fabulous photo shoot that was filled with fun and sophistication. We had two looks; the first one being fun and bubbly and the second look being sophisticated and sexy. We had a great stylist named Jana and we got to wear some of the cutest clothes from Iron Fist Clothing and Living Doll LA. And we had fabulous make-up artists and hair stylists. Everyone looked amazing.

I carpooled with Jessica Radical since we live really close to each other, and we got there super early. I guess we were just really excited. But when we got there, the show had already started and other girls were coming in. We went straight into hair and make-up!

Once we were ready with our awesome outfits, we took individual photos, coupled photos, and then group photos. We also had a small behind-the-scenes crew recording everything we did, and I mean EVERYTHING. I think he may have even gotten Aniyah Radical teaching me and Julie Radical how to booty pop....

Anyways, we had tons of fun, and I can't wait to see and show everyone the amazing photos and videos we have!

Watch out cuz Girl Radical is coming for you!

Finding My Path

There have been so many times in my life where I have felt so lost, either emotionally, mentally, or literally. And sometimes I just want to give up.

I've been in the entertainment industry since I was five years old. I started out as a child model and then went into acting after booking my first commercial, which was for McDonald's, also at the age of five. But then I was introduced to music and as you can tell, it kidnapped me and I was it's willing victim. I got into singing and dancing and I went to a performing arts middle school and high school as a vocal major for both. If that wasn't enough, I was writing and recording songs in the studio on the side. There came a point when it got to be too much between school and my music and I homeschooled my way through 11th and 12th grade. I had homeschooled for 7th and 8th grade, which I completed in one year, so it wasn't too bad to go back into it for the last two grades of high school, which I also completed in one year. By the time I was 16, I had graduated high school, had an album out with recognition from organizations, and was the current Miss Teen Asia USA. And what you get from that story was my successes, but no one really understands my journey. Through all that, there were so many times I wanted to give up because I was rejected and overlooked and told I wasn't good I wanted to give up. But I didn't, and look at where it's gotten me.

I feel like I'm finally finding my path.

Last week, I was feeling a little down. I was doubting my skills, my intelligence - basically myself. It was a horrible state of mind, but it all went away on Saturday night when I performed for an Indonesian event. There were hundreds of people there, and I got to perform two of my songs, and at the end, when everyone cheered and went up to me after, it reminded me why I started in the first place. I love singing and I love seeing the smiles that I might have helped put on their faces. It was a humbling feeling and, of course, such an adrenaline rush.

And then there are my great friends who help me through my hard times and are always there supporting me. My best friend Sofia is definitely one of them. She was there during the performance, just like she is for most of my performances, and I'm so lucky to have her in my life.

Sofia actually has a blog, too, but it's a fashion blog and I get to be her model! We do little photo shoots and they're so much fun to do. Here are a couple shots. Check out more pics at

I also have my new radical sisters! My girl Jessica Radical slept over Friday night and helped me get out of my funk. We had so much fun, and we thought we would put together a little video to show you just a little bit of what went down that night. Be warned: WE ARE CRAZY.

Though the journey is hard, after all the fighting is done, it will all be worth it in the end. It's like Thomas Edison once said: "Many of life's failures are people who did not realize how close they were to success when they gave up." I will never give up on my dreams or myself.

On a lighter note, there's a new social network for smart phones called Path that I recently got and am super obsessed with. If you get one, make sure to add me under Meeghan Henry!

The Superstorm of Girl Radical

Do you hear that? That big whoosh sound? The ominous thunder? That's the superstorm of Girl Radical coming, and it's coming at you full speed.

I mentioned in my last blog that I'm part of all-girl pop group called Girl Radical put together by JC Chasez from NSync and Golden Globe award winning producer and songwriter Jimmy Harry. There has been some buzz around it and there are people waiting for it to come out, but they haven't been waiting like the Radicals have been waiting.

I auditioned in early 2012 - around February or March. I had no idea what the girl group was about or who was making it when I auditioned. All I knew was that it was called "JC and Jimmy's Pop Project." Next thing you know, I'm gawking at JC and blurting out "You're...from NSync." I seem to have a pattern with blurting out stupid stuff to celebrities that I meet.

It seemed like forever that I waited for a response from them, but I think it was a week or two later when I got an email saying they were interested. From there, the group started to form and the girls trickled in little by little. We've been working on songs and...well, big things for everyone to see. I don't want to say too much or else I'll give it all away. But I can show you a little sneak peak of our first single called Don't Get Me Wrong.

Catchy, right? And that's just a taste! We made a music video for it last month, and it should be coming out soon! Like by next month. Fingers crossed!

I recently got to see some of my Radical sisters to do a photo booth day! We went to Hollywood and took a whole bunch of silly photos, which you will get to see soon on our website, which is, but here are a couple "behind the scenes" photos of our day well spent.

I also attempted to twerk. Lol. But it didn't work out so well. I fell so many times, and Kota Radical has it on tape. She's gonna edit it, but for now, here's a pic to show you how much of an epic fail it was:

If all goes according to plan, you'll be hearing us on the radio and seeing us on the internet very, very soon!
